Morning – Temple Tour
Wat Phra That Doi Suthep “ Doi Suthep “ Although this is actually the name of the mountain where its located. It is a sacred site to many Thai people. The temple is 16 kilometers from the city and situated at an elevation of 1073 meters, has found in 1383, when the first stupa was built. Over time, the temple impressive view of down town Chiang mai can be seen. This is a must place to visit of Chiang mai.
Wat Palad – "The Jungle Temple for the Soul" – is known for being a meditation temple as it is surrounded by nature. The jungle surrounds all the temple with the incredible rock formations that run down the mountain with the peaceful sound of running water. There are number of interesting structure to look at with ancient building, Buddha and various other statures that will keep your camera busy.
Afternoon – Handicraft Village
Borsang umbrella village – is famous for producing hand made bamboo umbrella and parasols. It’s along standing tradition and you only need to take a wander around Bosang to see how proud of community is of this heritage. Visit umbrella making process from crafting of bamboo frames to the water proofing techniques Used on cover. It’s fascinating to see how much work and attention goes into making each individual umbrella. Also experience how they make Sa Paper come the bark of mulberry tree.
Lacquerware workshop & showroom – Lacquerware production as cottage industry is very dispersed most visible production is as the handicraft emporiums Real. Lacquer from the tree is also increasingly scare and some modern work may use petroleum base mixes. Making lacquerware requires some skill and expertise and it is quite the consuming to finish a piece of work.
