About IUMRS-ICEM 2026

The International Conference on Electronic Materials (IUMRS-ICEM), initiated in 1988 with its first meetings held in Japan, is one of the flagship conference series of the International Union of Materials Research Societies (IUMRS). Organized biennially for over three decades, IUMRS-ICEM has established itself as a premier international forum for researchers, scientists, and engineers working in the field of electronic and advanced materials.

Traditionally structured around focused themes and specialized symposia, IUMRS-ICEM provides a dynamic platform for the presentation of cutting-edge research, the exchange of scientific ideas, and the establishment of international research collaborations across academia, industry, and research institutions.

Building on the success of previous editions, the 19th International Conference on Electronic Materials (IUMRS-ICEM 2026) will continue this strong legacy by bringing together global leaders and emerging researchers to discuss recent advances, emerging trends, and future directions in electronic materials and related technologies. The conference will feature a comprehensive scientific program including plenary lectures, keynote presentations, invited talks, oral and poster sessions, and industrial exhibitions.

IUMRS-ICEM 2026 is designed as an interactive and inclusive forum that promotes knowledge exchange, technology transfer, and pathways toward commercialization and industrial implementation. By fostering close interaction between fundamental research and applied innovation, the conference aims to accelerate the translation of materials research into next-generation technologies that address societal, industrial, and environmental challenges.
